A terrestrial mount. It started from a sketch inspired by the Ikran of Avatar, then moved towards running birds such as the ostrich and birds of prey such as the vulture.

The study focuses on the head and neck; the rest of the body was deliberately left out. The skin folds were built with a quick sculpting technique, shown in the short tutorial below.

The artwork was featured by Autodesk Arnold.
